In order to earn CLDE PD credit, attendees must scan the QR code at the registration area each day of the Fall Convention and fill out an online form to record every session they attend. The QR codes are switched out for the morning and afternoon sessions. Within a month after the Fall Convention, participants will receive a certificate from CoTESOL that shows the exact sessions and PD hours completed, as well as a copy of the CDE English Learner PD Standards Matrix. The matrix will need to be filled in with the training alignment and submitted to CDE when renewing a teaching license.
CoTESOL is happy to offer this benefit to our Fall Convention attendees with the support of the Colorado Department of Education. Special thanks to Dr. Ester de Jong and Dr. Miguel Salinas for their work on this initiative.
